Hi everyone!

I’d like to put this little idea out here on the KISHMET board and would love lots of feedback! It’s a bit long, so bear with me, will ya! You all know about the GOOL event taking place in NYC from 26th to 28th of March and Scott Evans is supposed/confirmed to attend. Some of us here on KISHMET (and Twitter and TGoDT) are going to attend, including me.

With all the magnificently dedicated fans here, busy busy busy with campaigns and rallies, I, like lots of you have joined the battle! Will it lead to something? We SURE do hope so!! Now, having said this, all our activities have been addressed to and focused on the OLTL creators and killers (sorry, but I’m still pissed).. and I thought it’s time to start a little ‘campaign’ for Scott and Brett. I know they know that there is a huge crowd of fans out there (not least since Brett’s interviews on deep-soap and zap2it – see links at the bottom) that support them and follow them wherever they tweet.. I mean, wherever they go. I think it’s pretty obvious that they LIKE US FANS A LOT and that they read us and that they appreciate our dedication and love and support and jokes and incessant tweets (not pointing at anyone in particular…), lol! And isn’t it just awesome that they kept tweeting when they were in the middle of attending GLAAD!!

Anyway, what I want to say is that I had this little project in my head for a while to create a dedication album, where all of you can enter a little personal message or text addressed to Scott and/or Brett. In practice this would mean for you to send me your text via e-mail and I will gather them all, print them (in colour), cut them out and add them to the photo album I bought. Depending on how many replies I receive I would suggest that I dedicate one page only to each of you who submits something. This means that the text cannot be too long. I’m thinking 140 twitter-short characters. LOL, no! It can be a bit longer. Practical details later. The idea is then to hand the album over to Scott during the GOOL event, as a gesture from his KISHMET board fans or KISH fans in general.

The GOOL event has been organised and planned for months now, by a bunch of very dedicated women and I’ve been in contact with Sonnenschein here and I thought it appropriate to better ask first if this was something that I could ‘hijack’ their event for, just for a moment. Sonnenschein told me that yes! It would be something we should definitely do. With all the campaigning I thought a personalized, direct present, would be a sweet gesture. Also, I was concerned about it being ‘unfair’ towards the other actors present, but Sonnenschein tells me that no, that they would very surely understand. I agree.

So, now it’s for you to let me know if it’s a project you’d like to participate in. The plan is to ask all KISH fans here on KISHMET and on Twitter. Sonnenschein will then link the thread to GoDT. There will be a deadline for sending me the texts/comments/pictures because I’m leaving for NYC on Saturday.

If like me and Sonnenschein you think it’s a neat idea, then please read the ‘instructions’ below. If you think the idea is tacky, then please um.. um..

Haha, I’m so not going to finish that sentence!. Anyway, here are the practical details. I’ve tried to think of all possible hiccups this project could face, but it’s a start and I’d welcome any feedback and hate mail.. wait.. no, scratch that last part.

INSTRUCTIONS:

You can write whatever you want, in whichever font you want, but please keep it decent and tidy.. if you know what I mean. I will not read what you write, but I might see a little bit of it here and there, when I cut it out the size of the album pages. The pages have a slide-in transparent pocket that is 10 cm x 15 cm big. So, whatever you send me via e-mail has to print out to that size, maximum. I am not going to have time to resize everything. You can send stuff printed/typed or handwritten, scanned, colour or black and white. If you want to add a picture (of you or something..), that’s okay too. I’m sure you will all have lots to say, but if not, you can always send a hug coupon and I’d gladly hug Scott for you. HAHAAAaa.. Oh sorry.. No honestly, I might ask Jenna to help me with this, just so she can actually touch the guy. Something she didn’t manage to do at the GLAAD, lol! But, and I promised that already, I will so hug Scott at least once, for our European #KISH division! Yep, he’ll not know what hit him poor guy, lol!

I will make two albums, one for Brett and one for Scott. So, if you want to write two different texts for each of them it’s fine too, but please let me know exactly who the message is addressed to. You can sign with your screen name or real name, it’s up to you. I will honestly not read what you write or look at your real name, but it can accidentally happen. If you tell me via your e-mail that you really do not want me to read your text, please do so.

As I said, I’m leaving on Saturday, and deadline for sending it all to me is Friday 19th of March 9am my time – most of Europe (that’s Friday 19th of March 4am Eastern Time and 1am Western Time if I’m correct). I will save all messages on my USB key and print them out during Friday.

Each page has that slide-in transparent pocket, but there is also room next to it with lines. If you want me to write something there about you – your age, name, gender, nationality – anything, let me know.

What am I forgetting? Yes, I’d say write in English (this goes towards some of our European KISH fans here), but if you want to write in another language than English that’s fine too I guess, but I’d add the translation somewhere. What else? My e-mail address is: wang_jude@hotmail.com (keep word and pdf in a decent size, so not to block my inbox – you can totally tell, that I’m expecting trillions of entries, lol!).

Another idea I had and I haven’t asked Smuchshy or Kishislove, but I’m sure they’d agree – I could print out some of the postcards you’ve made for the postcard campaign and have Scott autograph them and I could send them back to whoever wanted one. I know SOMEONE here on KISHMET and Twitter would be absolutely exhilarated to get one, right Addicted2Kish? No, but please let me know if you want one and which postcard. All by the deadlines indicated above please! I can always take messages arriving later, save them on my USB key and take to NYC with me and find a printer shop there, but honestly I’d like to have the printing done before I leave.

This is all supposed to be a surprise of course, but I know that appleridge repeatedly said that Scott might lurk here. So, this is the one time where I wish he doesn’t and anyway, I think he has SO MUCH OTHER STUFF on his mind right now, that I doubt he’ll hang around on some fan board. That being said, if the worst happens and he doesn’t attend GOOL at all, I’ll make sure to find one of the organisers to forward the albums to Scott and Brett. There is also the fact that I’ll be at the Broadway Cares event the week-end before, where Scott is scheduled to sing and if I get all my courage together, I could always ask him then, if he knows or can tell me that he’ll really be attending GOOL.

In addition to the above, I had the idea of buying a huge basket and fill it up with candy, because we all know, right, that Scott LOOOOOOOOOOVES candy. But I’m told by the GOOL organisers that they are planning something of that sort already. But the idea of an additional KISH candy basket for Scott, is not something we should totally abandon. That’s something that can still be organised in NYC though. Um, does anyone know what Scott’s favourite candy is?.... LOL! Ah nevermind.

So, does this sounds like a workable plan? If yes, do write! I truly think Scott (and Brett) will be touched by this and it would be something that came from you all! So go and think about something to write, be creative!
